Subject: Silent March to support Saurav Ganguly

Hi all,

Please find attached the Press Release for the Silent March to protest against the insult shown to Saurav Ganguly.

I am a part of  group called "No Dada No KKR". The objective of this group is to protest against all the injustice against Saurav Ganguly in the recent developments to the IPL4 auction.
As we speak now, we are already enjoying a total strength of 2500 odd members, from across India.
We have decided unanimously to take this one step further by organising a Silent Protest March on Sunday, the 16th of January 5pm onwards, from Victoria Memorial to the Eden Gardens.
We would also be joined by another group from Orkut having 3300+ members.
So I hope you all can understand the magnitude of this event.

Requests for permission from police officials are in progress.
We were also covered in the Times of India, the 12th of January in the sports edition.

The reason I write to you is to get proper media coverage for our March.
We need to reach out to all and sundry about the wrong that is being done more than once now with our very beloved "Dada".

You people are the best way we could do this.

This is an earnest request from all the faithful fans of Dada to cover this event and make it a huge success.

Thanks in advance.

Silent March to protest against the insult shown to Sourav Ganguly

The members of 'No Dada No KKR' – a facebook group protesting against the unjust treatment meted
out to the most successful Indian Skipper of all time, is organizing this unique protest on Sunday the 16th
of January 2011 from 5PM in the evening. As the most successful Indian captain in the history of Indian
cricket with a bevy of achievements under his name, we are appalled at the puerile and myopic attitude
of the team management of KKR and hence we are organizing this peaceful march to show solidarity
with the Prince of Cal.

The march will commence from Queens' gate in Victoria Memorial and proceed till Eden Gardens, where
we shall plant our candles. A heavy footfall is expected in this protest which is unique in more ways than
one. For starters, it is a silence march where there will be no shouting of slogans and no hooliganism.
Also, a candle light march, which is usually organized to show homage to the spirit of a deceased, is to
drive the message to KKR management that their favorite team – Kolkata Knight Riders in now dead to
the cricketing fans of the city.

We will also be supported by the members of another group from Orkut "No Ganguly… No Eden" in this
march.

We are in the process of securing permission from the authorities about the march. Jawed Shamim(
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kolkata) has already given his consent and now we are in the process
of securing permission from the local military authorities to ensure a fair and smooth passage of the
march.

About us: We are 'No Dada No KKR', a group which has 2200+ members in Facebook. Our membership
grows exponentially every hour. This unique march is the brainwave of the members of this group and
we look forward to this event being a huge success with an expected footfall of 500+.

On behalf of No Dada No KKR,
