Now Billy, you DO know that Andy Winkler's "Rebel Newsflash" is little more than a compendium of cut and paste jobs from paranoid, proganda laden neo-nazi and related sites, right?  The so-called "article" about Israel below is completely fabricated...the "author" has absolutely no idea what he...or she...is talking about and clearly, to anyone paying attention, doesn't have a single source in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.

Come on son...forwarding that babble only makes you look like a thinly veiled cross-burning simpleton.

Having it Both Ways?

Posted: 01 Mar 2011 06:16 AM PST

The people of the United States have been under siege since my earliest memories of politics in America. The inner-mind controls those aspects of our lives that we are not consciously aware of in the ordinary light of day. And yet it is this shadow-within-our-thoughts that has been used and abused, to create our unconscious submission to the many things, and ideas, that we would never accept if we were to actually become aware of them. These conflicted aspects are like two-sides of the same coin that most people remain oblivious to; for their entire lives.

Auspicious dawn

Posted: 01 Mar 2011 06:03 AM PST

Lemon Bay, Florida, March 1, 2011, 5:45 a.m. Auspicious dawn. Huge creamy diamond Venus aims at a soft landing on the awe-inspiring Earthshine of the nearby crescent moon, comfortably reclined in a welcoming mode. (Of course this is a big blast of love wafting toward us from our mother in the sky.) As the clear blue dawn with flecks of gold will arrive in a few minutes, Northern birds chatter amiably, making travel plans. Around the world, a new chant bursts the bonds of the aimless silence that never stirred until justice finally reached the hearts of men, and insisted the honesty within them be extended into the outer world choking on smoke and soot and the injustice of institutions designed to protect them that really hurt them. Bastiwas right. Down through history, the biggest hazards to human life have been the very systems humans have devised to protect themselves. And we could never fix them until we could fix ourselves.

Fear and trembling in Israel

Posted: 01 Mar 2011 04:07 AM PST

Israeli's concerns continue to mount as developments in the Middle East speed up. Just as Israeli security sources failed to predict the fall of Ben Ali and Mubarak, their confusion continues to grow in their visions of the future.

Political leaders and military generals in Israel have mostly been silent to the media and banned from expressing their opinions. It is clear, however, that they have no hope in the future as they speak of it with great uncertainty. The developments of Tunisia concerned Israel but with the revolution reaching Egypt, this concern turned into fear. There is no doubt that Israeli security and intelligence agencies made a mistake in evaluating the chances of such movements as well as their results. Regarding Egypt, however, they were certain that the Egyptian regime will stay in place and will survive the storm of uprisings. The Israelis transferred this viewpoint on to the US to a point where US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was speaking confidently about the stability of the Mubarak regime in the first days of the unrest in Egypt.

US double-standard on war crimes

Posted: 28 Feb 2011 07:05 AM PST

The US has been pushing for a measure that would keep its agents from being prosecuted for war crimes committed during the bloody massacre of pro-democracy protesters in Libya.

The hypocritical move came on Sunday as the US called for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the killing of Libyan demonstrators, while insisting on excluding a large number of foreign mercenaries.

'US to exploit Bahraini uprising'

Posted: 28 Feb 2011 09:16 AM PST

The events being played out in the Bahraini uprising stems from foreign policy intervention by the United States, Israel and the West and their interests in the region.

Press TV: Lets bring in Mark Glenn on the phone. He is a political commentator, joining us from Coeur d'Alene. Mark Glenn Thank you very much for being with Press TV. What is your reading of the situation in Bahrain, Sir?

The Real Revolution

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 05:48 AM PST

On the contrary, the regimes that will replace the embattled nationalistic dictators in each nation the globalists despoil will interface not with the national governments in the service of their people, but will interface with the civil society underlay the Western backed NGOs have meticulously built up over decades. This civil society will in turn answer to corporate serving globalist institutions, like the IMF, WTO, World Bank and the UN, instituting crushing economic liberalization.

We have been given a prepackaged ideal of what revolution is supposed to look like. So when we see people in the streets battling security forces, waving flags, all within the backdrop of their burning society, we are satisfied that revolution is taking place. But the reality is, this is not a revolution by any stretch of the imagination. It is a high-tech, high-speed invasion and subjugation, a corruption of the sovereign state similar to what Tacitus described in Roman conquered Britannia.

Israel benefiting from Arab disruption

Posted: 28 Feb 2011 05:42 AM PST

Amid Israel stepping up its air and ground strikes on the besieged coastal strip, a string of air raids has targeted several cities in Gaza, one of the strikes left 4 Palestinians wounded including a toddler.

In this regard Press TV interviewed Ashraf Shannon, Press TV correspondent in Gaza.

A Government Shut-down Imperils the Power of Congress

Posted: 27 Feb 2011 08:32 PM PST

Congress should think twice before forcing a government shutdown as the consequences could be the loss of the power of Congress to control spending through authorization and appropriation bills.

Congress permitted President George W. Bush to accumulate new powers in the executive, and these powers have passed to Obama.  Bush succeeded in establishing that as a wartime commander-in-chief he had the inherent power to disobey the laws against torture, spying on Americans without obtaining warrants, and indefinite detention.  In addition, Bush used signing statements in ways inconsistent with his oath and obligation to uphold the laws of the United States, and he took the U.S. to war based on lies, deception, and fabricated evidence, an offense that qualifies as treason.
