INDIAN MUSLIMS AND YOGA

Indians are a shameless race anyway. Except for the few exceptions, they have no pride in who they were or are or in the beauty of their culture and traditions. If they did they would not even today be perverting themselves to the two sick faiths of Islam and Christianity, for any religion that tries to convert people is a sick religion. If Indians had any pride the Indian Muslims whose ancestors were converted forcibly would have returned to the religion of their origin and stand united with the Hindus of today against these barbarians who go around killing in the name of their god.

Even 'Yoga' gets listed as a grievance in India's Muslim politics while even 'Jihad' could not qualify as a grievance of the Hindus.

About 47 Moslem countries that include Pakistan are participating. Obviously unlike with other philosophies that include Marxism which practically stands abandoned except for dictatorship of proletariat it confers, China finds Yoga non-threatening.

Surya namaskar is just the name of this exercise like the many other yogasanas have names for them. Anyone can do this exercise when there is no sun like after sunset or when it is foggy or cloudy or indoors where you don't see sun. One can face to the north or west and still do this exercise. But facing to sun when it is there has energy advantage. Muslim face towards holy Macca for some benefit while praying all though allah god or ishwar is present every where in every direction. So it is meaningless to say that Surya Namaskar is bowing to surya. It is not, it is just the name given that way to this exercise. Facing to sun and doing this exercise has special benefit. Therefore this exercise should be included in yoga day celebration and let people face whichever the direction they wish to . Actually there is no full bowing and touching the forehead to the ground in this asana like it is done in the Namaz. So this makes it a non bowing exercise and can be done by any religion people safely without hurting their faith or committing any mistake against their faith.

Even the utterly harmless acts of the Indian state, e.g. the national celebration on June 21, the UN's International Yoga Day, could incite protests by fundamentalist Muslim political organizations like the All India Majlis-e-Itehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM). Could politics in India become more ridiculous than this? How can performing Yogic exercises present itself as a threat to the existence of a set of people living in the country? The narrative of Muslim grievances, authored by India's leftist thinking elite, allows some of the most peaceful acts of Hindus to become a desperate reason for a Muslim 'grievance' in India...
How Yoga & saving cows could bring harm to Muslims?
Interestingly, a non-violent move of the Indian state to bring a ban on cow slaughter, turns into another enormous grievance of the Muslim society! How can saving lives of some poor cows put the survival of the Muslim society at stake? Objections against killings of hapless animals could have been laudable but systematic protests against a law for banning slaughter of the innocuous holy cow is utterly embarrassing! And on the other hand... a Hindu seems to have lost even genuine rights to hold any kind of grievance--not even against terrorists who target them day-in and day-out...
Even 'Jihad' could not qualify as a grievance of the Hindus
According to the data given by the Union Home Ministry, in the last eleven years alone, approximately 65,000 people have been lost to Jihadis, North-east-terrorist-groups & left-wing-extremists in India. A large majority of these victims belong to the Hindu community. And yet, `terrorism' or `jihad' could never be listed in the lexicon of India's English speaking elite as a valid `grievance' of the Hindu community. Even if it was listed, the well entrenched left-liberal intelligentsia would have shot it down ruthlessly. Marxist analysis: `terrorism' is a consequence of large unemployment in the youth belonging to minority communities, for which no one else but the majority community deserved to be blamed squarely for cornering the bulk of the fruits of development. A narrative was systematically created by a fraud called the `Sachar Report' which showed Muslims to be lacking in economic status vis-à-vis the Hindus—a white lie eventually exposed by RK Ohri, a former IPS officer, who proved that Muslims were far better off than Hindus on all globally accepted economic parameters used for measuring the well being of communities. (http://www.indiatomorrow.co/columns/1183-the-fraud-of-the-sachar-report-exposed)
India's intellectual elite prostrates before Islamism
Today, the western-educated Indian elite willingly capitulates to Islamic society—in the name of secularism and multiculturalism. They portray it to be their political correctness, but it is nothing but plain intellectual cowardice due to greed of survival in their comfort-zone. Therefore, the Muslims would continue to become more confident to raise more outrageous demands. They would continue to issue threats, as they realize that Hindus were more & more keyed to their consumerist avatar of being mere 'mall-creatures'!
Ridiculous protest against Yoga by Owaisi
Referring to the #YogaDay, AIMIM chief, Asaduddin Owaisi, on Thursday alleged that the Devendra Fadnavis government was forcing Muslims to take part in something that is prohibited in Islam. "The government has no right to make yoga compulsory for children. While doing yoga, one needs to do surya-namaskar, which means you pray to the sun. The government needs to understand Muslims cannot pray to anybody except Allah', he said. Of course, Owaisi was lying. Doing Yoga exercises on that day has not been made compulsory by any means. Maharashtra state education minister, Vinod Tawde, accused Owaisi of politicising the issue, and made it clear that not observing yoga day would not invite any punitive action.
"There are many positions in yoga besides surya-namaskar. The whole world agrees that yoga has tremendous effects on the body and mind. We have not made it compulsory for any educational institution to conduct yoga session on June 21," Tawde said.
Yogic thinking could illuminate a new Hindu narrative
Yoga is not mere Physical Training (PT). It is about reaching to higher levels of spiritual elevation. A spiritually elevated Hindu would gather the capability to understand issues from the Yogic point of view and only then he would be able to bring alive his own counter-narrative to expose the lies of the left-liberal intelligentsia.
Ram Swarup, the great mystic of Hindu society, wrote in his foreword to Anirvan's 'Antar Yoga': "We may say that even the lower bhumis (kama-bhumis) have their characteristic trances or samadhis, their own Revelations, Prophets and Deities. They project ego-gods and desire-gods and give birth to dvesha-dharmas and moha-dharmas, hate religions and delusive ideologies. All these projections have qualities very different from the qualities of the projections of the yogic bhumi (levels).
For example, the God of the yoga-bhumi of Patanjala Yoga is free, actually and potentially, from all limiting qualities like desire, aversion, hankering, ego and nescience; free from all actions, their consequences, present or future, active or latent. Or in the language of Patanjala Yoga, he is untouched by klesha-karma-vipaka-ashaya. But the god of the ecstasies of non-yogic Bhumi or kuma-Bhumi is very different. He has strong likes and dislikes and has cruel preferences. He has his favorite people...and his implacable enemies. He is also very egoistic and self-regarding; he can brook no other god or gods. He insists that all gods other than himself are false and should not be worshipped. He is a 'jealous god', as he describes. And he 'whose name is jealous' is also full of 'fierce anger' (aph) and cruelty. He commands his chosen people that when he has brought them to the promised land and delivered its people into their hands."
Let the #YogaDay be a reminder to us on Ram Swarup's analysis on the deeper aspects of Yoga which would help us to look at ourselves and others with Hindu eyes--and perhaps work towards a much needed narrative of the Hindu society and for the Hindu society!
The anti-national ideology is the worst catastrophe to befall independent India; a drag that has set us back at least 50 years; a warped ideology that has compounded our travails by becoming an apologist for terrorists, Naxalite violence and the fifth column.

etv Urdu must not communalise Muslims as I tis presently being done with programmes like hamara masail
To: jagdeesh.chandrta@etv.co.in
Mr. Jagdeesh Chandra.
I/C ETV URDU News,
ETV URDU,
Dear Mr. Chandra,
To Some fanatic and communal minded Muslims like ASADUDDIN OWAISI, President of AIMIM party of Hyderabad, All India Muslim Personal Law ( AIMPLB ) Members , Editor Muslim Milligazette ( Dr. Khan ), darul uloom deoband Muslim leadership, Jama Millia etc. etc., this may be anathema to them and may not be music to their ears since they want to inculcate in the minds of Muslim followers that the MUSLIMS SHOULD NOT -PARTICIPATE IN YOGA / SURYA NAMASKAR SESSIONS==JUST LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN STOPPING THEM FROM SINGING VANDEMATRUM...DAMN WITH SUCH ANTI-NATIONALS WHO WANT TO BRING IN RELIGIOUS ANGLE INTO EVERYTHING AND CREATE DIVISION OF SOCIETY. INDIA IS NOT A THEOCRATIC SOCIETY BUT A DEMOCRATUC SOCIETY. SO HOW CAN THESE BAST---S WANT THE CITIZENS TO FOLLOW RELIGIOUS DISCIPLINE.
UNFORTUNATELY PROGRAMMES LIKE HAMARE MASAIL AT ETV=URDU ARE ONLY ADDING FUEL TO THEIR COMMUNAL FIRES. IT IS ALSO VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT YOU ARE EMPOWERING MUSLIMS IN THEIR QUEST FOR FURTHER DIVISION OF THE SOCIETY. and their endeavours to islamise the country with further division of the country on the basis of religion. ETV UEDU MUST STOP THESE DIVISIVE PROGRAMMES LIKE HAMARE MASAIL INVITING THE PANEL MEMBERS WHO ARE STAUNCH HATERS OF NARENDRA MODI AND HINDUS. THESE BAST---S WANT SHARIAT LAWS REPLACING THE PRESNT LAWS. THEY WANT TO ISLAMISE THE COUNTRY AND YOU ARE FALLING A PREY TO THEIR DEMANDS JUST BECAUSE THEY GIVE YOU A STANDING OVATION AT THE MEETINGS CONVENED TO EMPOWER THEM . BETTER STOP ANY SUCH ESCAPADES ANY MORE.

YOGA IN PAKISTAN..WHAT THEN IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE DA- M MUSLIMS OF INDIA..
ALL THE TIME BEING NEGATIVE. SUCH OBSTRUCTIONISTS ARE NOT NEEDED IN INDIA. THEY CAN GO TO PAKISTAN OR ANY OTHER ISLAMIC COUNTRY AND LEAVE US IN PEACE, DAMN SUCH INDIA HATING MUSLIMS.
Now compare and contrast with the BARI BAHAS (AAJ TAK) of last evening, when Indian Muslims were trying to vent their hostility towards YOGA!
YOGA IN PAKISTAN
An AAJTAK television report covered Yoga Camps in Islamabad, the Capital of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The participants were also very enthusiastically performing SURYA NAMASKAR
excersise too.
The Instructor, a Pakistani claimed that Yoga is the property of the mankind.
Some beneficiaries of Yoga explained their very useful experiences.
The Instructor further claimed that Mahrishi Patanjali belonged to Multan, now
a Pakistan City.
The Coverage also showed the NEGATIVE Comments about Yoga by some Indian Muslim Leaders who alleged that YOGA as anti-Islam.

Yoga is a clean thing, say Muslim experts.
'The objections are based on a misunderstanding of what yoga is'. -Gargi Gupta
Wednesday, 10 June 2015
External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj at a press conference regarding World Yoga Day celebrations in New Delhi on Tuesday PTI
Is yoga a Hindu religious practice? The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) may think so but for scores of Muslims who practise yoga, there is no contradiction between what they do and the teachings of Islam.
"The objections are based on a misunderstanding of what yoga is," says Dr Badrul Islam, who has been practising yoga for the past 35 years and has also written a handbook in Urdu on the subject. Islam is a yoga instructor with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and also runs a training centre near Delhi's Muslim-dominated locality of Jamia Nagar, where he claims to have taught thousands of youngsters.
"Yoga is a clean thing, it helps you to connect with yourself, keeps you alert, smart and fit. As for surya namaskar, Islam enjoins you not to bow in front of anyone but Allah, so don't turn to the sun when doing it. Think of it as a form of exercise," says Islam, who is also a member of the NCERT editorial board that developed a curriculum for yoga in schools. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to release the two books – one for class VI to VII and the other for class IX and X -- that Islam has helped write on June 21, International Yoga Day.
"Politicians are trying to give Yoga a Hindu colour. It is a means of keeping fit and only a fit nation can be a healthy and strong nation," says Asad Gazi, president of the Nawa-e-Haque welfare association which works to spread education among the Muslim community. Early this year Gazi wrote to the HRD ministry appealing that yoga teachers be appointed in schools.
Imran Khan, who learnt yoga at the Sivananda ashram in Kerala and has been teaching yoga for the past 13 years, says he sees no problems with his faith in practising yoga. "My family, too, has never said anything," says Khan, who has taught many women too. "I once taught a group of women in purdah. I was instructing the entire family and the men were in front while the women were behind a wooden partition!"
The AIMPLB's strictures against Surya Namaskar is not the first time the issue has come up – though yoga is popular in Islamic countries like Iran, in others like Indonesia and Malaysia it is banned. And though the Pakistan government has denied a visa to two Indian yoga instructors, the country has several practitioners who teach yoga as a fitness programme. Within India, too, the leaders of the community have vacillated on their stand – the current ruling of the AIMPLB contradicts what Darul Uloom had said in 2008, that Muslims could practise yoga for health reasons.

Indian MUSLIMS: yoga or not yoga?
Posted on June 8, 2015 by François Gautier | fgautier@auroville.org.in
Indian Muslims are again today at a crossroad. By opposing yoga in schools they are showing that they are Muslims first and Indians in second. They should look towards the USA, instead of hating this nation: there, people of Mexican, Korean, African origins, Christians, Muslims or Buddhists, feel that they are first Americans.
The question that Indian Muslims should ask themselves today is simple: "who are we" ? Amongst the 150 millions of Muslims in India, only a tiny percentage descends from the Turks, Afghans, or Iranians who invaded India. The majority of them are converted Muslims. And converted how ? By terror, coercion, force, bloodshed. The ancestors of today's Indian Muslims are probably those who suffered the most from the Arab and Muslim invasions. Those Hindus and Sikhs who chose not to convert, took refuge in their faith, fought together and kept their pride and honor. The first two generations of those who converted must have endured hell: for they certainly did not convert out of conviction, but because they had no choice: their daughters and wives were raped, sons taken into slavery, parents killed. It is sad today that their descendants have sometimes made theirs the intolerant cry of Islam.
It is true that many Indian Muslims were Hindu intouchables. Marxists would like us to believe that they converted because they thought that they would access the more egalitarian society of Islam. What rubbish! Does one think in that way in time of war, terror and tears ? Do today's Hindu lower castes convert to Islam when there is no more violent coercion? More likely, the Intouchables were the most vulnerable, the least apt to defend themselves; they had neither the faith of the brahmins, nor the riches of the vaishiyas, nor the military skill of the kshatriyas.
Do Indian Muslims understand that they were part of the richest, most advanced, most tolerant and generous civilization of ancient times. That their culture was so advanced that it had spread all over the world ?Do they realize that more and more archeological an historical discoveries are pointing out that the genocide of Hindus by Muslim invaders is without parallel. The conquest of Afghanistan in the year 1000, was followed by the annihilation of the entire Hindu population there; indeed, the region is still called Hindu Kush, 'Hindu slaughter'. The Bahmani sultans in central India, made it a rule to kill 100.000 Hindus a year. In 1399, Teimur killed 100.000 Hindus in a single day. Professor K.S. Lal has estimated that the Hindu population decreased by 8O million between the year 1000 and 1525, probably the biggest holocaust in history. Surely, many of present day Indian Muslims' ancestors must have been among those slaughtered.
Islam cannot be wished away. As Sri Aurobindo said "Mahomed's mission was necessary, else we might have ended by thinking, in the exaggeration of our efforts at self-purification, that earth was meant only for the monk and the city created as a vestibule for the desert"…. . Thus Indian Muslims have to keep their faith and any attempt by Hindus to convert them back is not only futile but counterproductive. But the question to be asked to them is: "what kind of Islam do you want to practice ? An Islam which looks westwards, towards a foreign city, the Mecca, swears by a Scripture, the Koran, which is not only not relevant to India, but which was meant for people living 1500 years ago, in a language which is not Indian ? Or do they want to practice an Islam which is "Indianized", which accepts the reality of other Gods, as Hinduism and Buddhism accept that there have been other avatars than Ram or Buddha.
Do India Muslims want to worship Babar, a man who destroyed everything which was good, beautiful and holy and lived by the power of violence, or do they want to imbibe the qualities of Ram, who believed in the equality of all, who gave-up all riches and honors of the world because he thought his bother deserved the throne more than him ?
Whatever the West says, which is obsessed with China, India, a vibrant, English speaking, pro-western democracy is going to become the superpower of the 21st century. Do Indian Muslims want to participate in that great adventure ? Do they want to feel that they are part of India, that they are Indians ?
Nowadays it is politically not correct to say anything against Islam. You are immediately labeled anti-Muslim and dismissed as a "rightist". No matter if you are only reporting the fact that there is a real problem with Islam in South Asia: that India is surrounded by fundamentalists sates: Afghanistan and Pakistan, while more moderates like Bangladesh, tend to close an eye to anti-Indian activities; that Indian Muslims sometimes tend to put their religion before their country; and that Kashmiris, far from being the persecuted that the Foreign Press likes to portray, are actually paying the price for having allowed Afghan and Pakistani Sunnis radicalize what used to be a more gentle and tolerant Islam and left their Hindu brothers and sisters being butchered and chased away from their ancestral land.
Thus the question has to be asked again: do Indian Muslims want to be like Babar or like Ram. This choice will shape their future for generations to come.

I had personal experience of this when I was living and working in Singapore in the 90s. As we all know the relations between Pakistan and India have always been far from cordial. There is a sizeable Muslim population who have moved to Singapore from South India. Either themselves or their ancestors. I found it strange that whenever there was tension or skirmish on the border with Pakistan, their sympathies seemed to lie with Pakistan and not India, their native country of birth.
Strange.

Indian MUSLIMS : yoga or not yoga ?

We need not ask this question to Bhaarateey Muslims. While Pakistan was created (for Muslims with Religion difference with Other Bhaarateey i.e. Hinduu) these people stayed back because they considered, Bhaarat as their country and preferred this thought over their Religion, is it not? Now they appear to be rethinking this because our own Government has created this feeling in them. They are (in every way) being considered different (and preferable) to other Bhaarateey (i.e. Hinduu) and that is why their religious feelings have come up on top. राजा कालस्य कारणम्l is a well known statement in Bhaarateey philosophy. So now the responsibility of bringing Muslims back to their feeling about their motherland i.e. Bhaarat above their Religion lies squarely with our Government. Once they start treating all Bhaarateey on equal footing except about their Religious aspects, everything will be sorted out well. After all they have preferred to stay in their Motherland Bhaarat, over their Religious attachment to Pakistan created for their Religion (different from other Bhaarateey people i.e. Hinduu, is it not?
